Mandy, there's a minister handy

I'm naming her Mandy. I'm gonna start naming my girls. Have you ever seen a more perfect nose? I think not.

In other news, week (mumbles, clears throught) has come and gone. What have I learned?

1. Robbin Williams is a good tipper.
2. Finding good story ideas is just as difficult now as it was in high school.
3. Reporters really DO read the comments left on their stories.
4. It's nearly impossible to get ahold of a 13 year-old for an interview, especially in the summer when they are all out playing.
5. Making mistakes is part of the gig.

You can't take the sky from me

Ink wash. Eh. No big deal. I like water color better. More to come later.

Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream

Anybody remember this guy?

So I am doing a couple things on the new Bobcat Goldthwait movie that's filming currently in Seattle. I only knew him from two things. When he played the crazy guy in "Scrooged," an dhis role as the Sandman in an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark?

To tell the truth, the latter is the first palce I recognized him from. I am shameless. Anywho, enjoy the first story I did, and I'll be interviewing castmembers soon. I also did a blog post about Robin Williams, it's like I'm becoming the Seattle paparazzi.

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story "The Tale of the Final Wish."

na na na na na na na na

UPDATE:

This is the interview I did with the great Tim Sale. Thanks, Bob, for telling me about the Long Halloween, so I could get in touch with this cool dude.

UPDATE as of Friday night at 12:30 in morning.

I just got back from the movie, it creeped me out. More update on this one tomorrow. Check my stuff at O!No.MN

This is a blog post that I did that mentions Batman, so I figure it works with this post.

So begins my Batman coverage for the week. First up, my blog post about the Joker. No joke (get it?) I am not a fan of his. After this week I never want to read, see or hear anything about the Joker ever again.

That said, here's what I got:
http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/thebigblog/archives/143580.asp

It was the first time I wrote my own headline, posted all my myself, scanned in my own images, sized my own images, uploaded my own images and basically generated and pitched my own idea. What I'm trying to say is, I rule.

I'll be updating this post all week with more stuff that I write, so enjoy.

In other news, the mental hospital where "One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is being demolished this week. Arkham Asylum is next.

Lookin' for love- in all the wrong places

So, you may be asking yourself, what in the heck is Molly doing up there in Seattle? What kind of hard-hitting journailsm is she persuing? Well, my friends, the answer is this: Over the past two days I have been #1, #2 and #5 for web hits on the P-I website, a huge deal. Yes, people are reading what I'm writing and I'm digging it. Now, what is this masterpiece that I have created?

An interview with Jason Mesnick, the Seattlite who had his heart broken Monday night on the season finale of "The Bachelorette." Oh yeah, that's right.

If you're looking for a chuckle, read the second link. If you want to read the interview, click the first one.

'Cause when we kiss: Fire

Mike Kane/Seattle Post-Intelligencer

People, it's time to get festive. It is our nation's birthday. Let's celebrate by buying dozens of Chinese manufactured explosives. I sure hope that's lead based paint on the packaging. In the spirit of the holiday, I've written three (count 'em three) stories on the subject. It's just my humble way of celebrating this glorious holiday.

I'm chilling on my porch, enjoying a cigar with the Twilight Zone in the background. "Just Over that Rim" is the episode. I just got home from filing a story over the phone at the battalion headquarters of the fire department. Yeah, that's right. I totally got to ride in a fire engine.

My ride-along story:

A fireworks piece I did with two other guys:

My feature on Boom City, the best place to buy explosives:

I just have on thing to say, as I suck down this cheap cigar, look out over the city to see deozens of illegal fireworks going up:

Happy Fuckin' Fourth.
